When government tells you what you can do with your property, your property rights are diminished. When people claim a right to education, healthcare, or any other commodity, your right to yourself, your liberty and, of course, your property rights, are destroyed. Even the right to keep and bear arms becomes abusive when it deprives someone of the right to control their property.

The bottom line, friends, is that we can be the salt and light we are required by God to be and we can and must educate and inform, but we do not have to insult.  Simply speak the truth, expose the lies and provide the answers to the lost, suffering in turmoil at the devil’s hands.  But the key, as found in 2 Timothy, is to do it gently, humbly and patiently.

In some epic stories, salvation for the people of the world from a catastrophic situation comes in a way unforeseen and through the unlikeliest of people. Stories like this often leave a lasting impression on us, especially if they involve a hero’s sacrifice of the kind that reminds us of Jesus’ words, "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13)
